When it comes to gifting and celebrating, there’s rarely a time an excellent bottle of gin doesn’t satisfy. Whether you’re stocking up your home bar ahead of Christmas, or you’re after a thoughtful birthday gift, the juniper based drink is a fail-safe pick.
We’ve rounded up the very best gin gift ideas to help make shopping for the gin lover in your life easier. This isn't your run-of-the-mill list of flavoured gins–though we have covered everything from gooseberry to clementine and ginger. Instead, we're looking outside of the gin box, rounding up exciting distillery experiences where gin enthusiasts will get the chance to make their own, as well as impressive gin gift sets and hampers, and token presents like gin-flavoured truffles and chocolate bars. You'll also find tea towels, napkins, ice buckets and elevated essentials like smart glassware and high end mixers to match craft gins.
Of course we’ve also included some of our favourite award-winning gin tipples, from distillers like Scotland’s Isle of Harris, that go perfectly with a wedge of pink grapefruit. For those moving away from alcohol, we've found some excellent low ABV and non-alcoholic options that even the most discerning of gin cocktail connoisseurs will no doubt be surprised by.

Ramsbury Estate Bespoke Gin Making Experience, £85 from Ramsbury Estate
Set in the little village of Hungerford, deep in the Wiltshire countryside, the Ramsbury gin company specialises in creating single estate gin and vodka. Their day experience is housed inside its brand new, high spec gin school, where you'll get to experience life as a head distiller and make your own gin. You'll get to choose all your own botanicals and combine them together to make your own unique gin.
Isle of Harris Gin, £49.99 from Selfridges
When it comes to Scottish gin, our favourite has to be the award-winning Isle of Harris gin. This premium gin is a fresh and mineral forward blend, with a special mix of eight botanicals and notes of sugar kelp (which has been hand harvested). The bottle is beautifully made, designed to capture the essence of the outer Hebridean island, and can be returned for refilling and reuse again and again. Garnish it with a chunky wedge of pink grapefruit for the ultimate serve.
HAY Tint Wine Glasses, £33 from Heal’s
Glassware is just as important as the contents and these Hay glasses are the perfect vessel for a well mixed G&T. They hold 250ml and have plenty of room for chunky ice cubes and a garnish, too.
Ellen Pk Negroni Unframed Print, £48 from Not-Another-Bill
When it comes to gin-based cocktails, not much beats the humble negroni. This print from Elin PK is a fine example of the artist's playful style, and brings out the drink's shine in full force. We'd frame it in a simple frame and let the print do the talking.
Ukiyo Yuzu Gin, £36.99 from House of Malt
Using a base spirit of shochu, which is distilled from barley, this Japanese craft gin has a tart flavour similar to grapefruit or mandarin. It’s an excellent spirit to make gin sours with, or to serve up in a classic G&T with a generous wedge of lemon. It will no doubt be the best looking bottle in any gin collector’s cabinet too.
